The Love with Food Gluten Free box arrived!
Oh, man. These food boxes are always tough to review because you want to sample everything but that means you’d have to immediately open all the contents to sample them. Then what? You’re stuck with open bags of food and a full belly. That really becomes a problem for me because I don’t want to waste what I just paid for in order to review it. I want to enjoy the contents, you know what I mean?
The other problem that I have is that I know there’s interest in this box but I don’t eat gluten free. I’m a gluten consumer. You show me glutens and I’ll devour them like a ravenous bear to a picnic basket. So, I thought of the best thing that I could do – I gave the box to my sister and her family so they could sample it. They regularly eat gluten free foods so they’d be more suitable reviewers for this.

Final thoughts
I had no idea what to expect with this. I thought that for $25 I was going to get a bunch of tree hugger food and it would be thrown slapdash into the box. I was pretty surprised and pleased with the little red box and the nice packaging. I also appreciated the ‘cheat card’ (it tells you what is inside the subscription box) and the recipes.
Although I didn’t taste it my sister and her family have been giving me updates along the lines of:
- These are delicious! (includes picture of the opened bag of Crunchy Coconut Chips)
- The kale chips are good, and
- The fudge bar was pretty good, too. Better than a Lara bar
That’s got me pretty excited for the next box to be delivered! I think next time I’ll actually try the food inside rather than completely wait for my sister and her family to be my guinea pigs. I just have to make sure I don’t do it on the same day I review one of my Japanese snack crates 🙂
