Well, this is kind of confusing. My packing slip calls this the ‘May 2015 Large Dog’ PetBox. I ordered it on May 6th and I was notified that it was shipping June 4th. It arrived at my house on June 4th so I assumed that this was the June PetBox. So, although I reference this thing many times as the June 2015 PetBox this may, in fact, be the May PetBox.

I don’t get it.

Instead, I’m going to say that this is the PetBox that I might have ordered in May but received in June.

Popping open the box was nice. Everything was packaged very well and it was pretty cool seeing the large sticker over the paper wrapping which reassured me that the box was hand packaged.

Outward Hound Fire Biterz

You know, they say that when in show business you shouldn’t work with animals or children. In my case, my animals are my children. And, as you can see below, they are just as unpredictable as you would expect.

Keep in mind that my dogs had finished eating dinner about 30 minutes earlier and are both phenomenally lazy. Both dogs really aren’t that into toys, either, so this is why this may have seemed a bit anti-climactic. You tempt them with food though…

Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Delectable Delights Chicken Sausage Slices

…and you get two dingbats who are attentive and ready to do whatever you want them to.

Honestly, I think you could probably put almost anything edible in one of these pet subscription boxes and my dogs would be happy as clams to have them. As you see in the video above, Bunsen and Jinx were more than happy to scarf down three treats. The nice thing is that these Delectable Delights also come in Duck Meatballs, Burger Bites and Tender Cuts flavors. Reading the ingredients it was very heartening to see that the main ingredient were meats (chicken and turkey) and not the binding agents.

Ye-haw! The dogs very much enjoyed these treats!

Final Thoughts

This is a very interesting box. My dogs didn’t really enjoy the Fire Biterz but that may have been the result of both having just finished dinner. I’ve also been taking them out a lot for both walks and car rides. They were very much enamored with the chicken sausage slices and anything else edible. Is it worth the $19.95 that I spent? Sure, I think it was. This was an interesting alternative to the BarkBox.

Check this out – https://getpetbox.com/#petbox-plan?event=&target=:3 There are so many different plans to choose from as well. I was tempted to try the Multiple Pet box but you saw what happened with the squeaky toy in this box. I’m sure Jinx will get around to destroying the Fire Biterz but I wasn’t about to drop close to $60 on an unproven subscription. I may try it out after I see how the next month’s box comes in.
